Radfords has invested heavily in the abattoir over the years, to enable the consistent growth and development of domestic and export market needs. The Tier 1 export market was established in 2017 and is listed to export products to 28 selected markets worldwide.

    Local and interstate supply


    We proudly supply meat wholesalers, food service butchers, independent supermarkets, food processing facilities, and retail butcher shops across Melbourne, Sydney, Gippsland the South East Coast, and beyond.

    We offer whole and broken beef and lamb carcasses, a graded range of boxed beef for consistency, and various cuts to meet your specific needs.

    Our accreditations include Prime Safe, Export Licensed, Organic Certified, Ausmeat Accredited, Halal Certified, and Meat Standards Australia (MSA).

    Our premium Australian beef and lamb products reach select customers in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. We are licensed to export and specialise in air freight export of cross-bred lambs and are recognised for our exceptional quality and ethical practices.

    Livestock and animal husbandry


    We work closely with a network of passionate farmers throughout Victoria, ensuring the highest quality livestock through ethical sourcing and expert animal husbandry practices.

    When animals enter our stock yards and for the duration of our custody, they are either penned on undercover clean, soft flooring, with ample fresh feed and water or allowed to graze the nearly sixty-five hectares of grassland surrounding the abattoir.

    We provide our farmers with a feedback sheet after processing which is beneficial for the development of your herds.

    Our Livestock Coordinator, Matthew Rennie, would be more than happy to discuss the sale of your livestock at our competitive over the hock price.

    Processing for local producers


    We offer convenient and cost-effective on-site processing services for beef and lamb producers, delivering directly to your chosen butcher in Metro Melbourne, Gippsland and the South East Coast through to Sale and even a selection of Sydney delivery points.

    Processing costs include delivery to your chosen butcher on their scheduled delivery days and will be charged to your butcher on your behalf.

    All livestock must be identified with an approved NLIS device on arrival at the abattoir and must be accompanied by a valid and fully completed National Vendor Declaration (NVD) or they will not be processed.
